Good News

Where do we begin?

The Bible begins by stating: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

It goes on to say: "And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good."

But what went wrong?

It is obvious that there are lots of things about the world now which are not very good. The Bible explains the reason for this: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Is there any answer which gives hope?

Jesus said: "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

There is no other answer, and no other name by which we can approach unto God. "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God."

So what is the good news of the gospel?

Jesus said: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe the gospel."

So we preach the name of Jesus Christ. All those that put their trust in Jesus Christ, acknowledging him as Lord of all, have peace with God. When we have peace with God, we will learn of and experience the peace of God, which passes all understanding, which keeps our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Our beliefs:

What we believe

  • There is only one true and living God.
  • He has spoken through His Word, the Bible, which is complete and reliable. It is the only authority for us to believe and teach.
  • God still speaks today by the power of His Holy Spirit especially through the reading of the Bible and the preaching of the Gospel.
  • The Gospel is good news for mankind in a world ruined by sin.
  • Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. He is the eternal Son of God and came into this world to save sinners. He lived a perfect life, he suffered and died on the cross, rose again after three days and ascended into heaven.
  • Those who are blessed by God with repentance for their sins and have faith in Jesus Christ have eternal life.
  • Jesus is coming again as Lord of all with power and great glory to judge the world.
